Dr. Dustin HaddenhamDr. Dustin Haddenham graduated from Cal Poly in 2004 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. During his time at Cal Poly, Dr. Haddenham researched the synthesis of myoseverin analogs under the direction of Dr. Michael Silvestri and also served as the historian and alumni secretary of ΑΧΣ. After leaving Cal Poly, Dr. Haddenham earned his Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and then completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Haddenham has since worked as a process scientist at several facilities where he has been responsible for the process development of a number of compounds including advanced
pharmaceutical intermediates, schedule II substances, radiolabels, and isotopically labeled compounds. He is currently a process scientist at Pfizer developing improvements in the manufacture of various cancer treatments.
Dr. Jeffrey JasperDr. Jeffrey Jasper (B.S. Chemistry, 1984 and founding ΑΧΣ member) received the 2015 Honored Alumnus award from the College of Science & Mathematics. After graduating from Cal Poly, Dr. Jasper earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UC San Diego and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Jasper has worked at several pharmaceutical companies including Merck, Roche, and Theravance where he contributed to the development of several
treatments for neuromuscular diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), among many others. Dr. Jasper is currently the vice president of preclinical sciences at Revolution Medicines and serves as a member of the editorial board for the American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology.
