Research Interests
The majority of proteins are known for a single cellular role. Recent work has highlighted an emerging class of multifunctional proteins known as moonlighters that create new links between cellular pathways and processes. The lab is interested in identifying and characterizing new moonlighters that operate at the intersection of amino acid metabolism and chromatin regulation. Students will be working with a wide variety of biochemical, molecular biological, and genetic techniques in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
