Research Interests

  • Biogeochemistry of the toxic metalloids arsenic, antimony, selenium, and tellurium
  • Development of trace analytical methods such as HPLC-AAS to measure organometalloid species
  • Field measurements of organometalloid compounds in environments such as oceanic
    phytoplankton mats, hypersaline lakes, and hot springs
  • Isolation and investigation of microbes which can methylate metalloids
